Your Gift

YOU have psychic abilities, whether you acknowledge them or not. Ignore them at your peril. Maybe you'll see yourself in this:

Last weekend, I went to a holiday party, given by one of my clients, an acupuncturist. Because I'd helped her pass her acupuncture boards, which she'd failed 3 times before, she kept introducing me enthusiastically as a clairvoyant and coach. That meant that all of my conversations centered on things psychic, intuitive and/or spiritual (which was actually fun for me!).

The conversation that struck me most was with Joe, a many-degreed, successful high tech engineer. Joe has those bright blue eyes that evidence great intelligence, as well as an Atlantean past (if you don't believe in Atlantis, just ignore that part), complete with psychic ability. (I see this sometimes, but only in blue eyes; with other color eyes, it just isn't immediately obvious to me.)

Joe was curious, no, fascinated with my psychic abilities, because he said he didn't have any. I told him that we all have some degree of psychic ability, but that it comes in different ways; the most common is what people call 'gut feelings'. Joe admitted that he had those, and joked about providing 'psychic tech support'. But then he said that he couldn't trust them much, as evidenced by his horrendous people judgment, which led to horrible relationships, both romantic and business, which led to very expensive legal problems. I could see the activity in his third eye, and told him he was clairvoyant, whether he knew it or not.

As we talked, Joe complained of knowing things that other people didn't want to hear, telling them, and being ostracized for it. A classic psychic's complaint! The problem is not knowing what you know. The problem is not knowing what other people don't know, or don't want to know. The problem is in knowing how, when and to whom it is safe to disclose what you know.

Joe told of downloads into his mind of information, which he described as a 3 1/4" floppy being inserted into the left side of his head. This is classic telepathy!

It turned out that Joe had always had this telepathy, but had had so many bad experiences as a child, that he had turned off his ability to access the information he got through it. Ignoring his deepest level of information left him incredibly vulnerable to people who could and would callously take advantage of him.

Your psychic abilities are your gift, no matter what form they come in. They might come as gut feelings (clairsentience), pictures of things (clairvoyance), the still small voice within (clairaudience), downloads of information (telepathy/channeling), or smelling or tasting things that aren't there (clairolfaction or clairgustation). No matter -- they are your birthright. Would you willingly blind your physical vision? If you are ignoring your psychic abilities, you are doing effectively that -- and your life is much the poorer for it.

You can change that -- right now! You can resolve to notice what you notice, and know what you know, even if you don't know how you know it. No matter what your abilities, no matter how developed (or not), you can practice -- and practice makes perfect. (And if you are ready and willing to claim your psychic abilities, as well as how to talk about them, send me an email (use the box in the top right corner), and I'll let you know when I'm teaching another psychic development teleclass.)

Entangled Minds: Skeptic agrees that remote viewing is proven

Entangled Minds: Skeptic agrees that remote viewing is proven

For a scientist (whose work I admire and use) to argue that you need higher standards of proof for remote viewing than other areas of science is just absurd.

Greetings from Mt. Shasta!

So much happened that it's unbelievable! I'm just back from the somewhat grandly, but also aptly, named "Ambassador to the Universe" training, held by CSETI, up on Mt. Shasta.

Before we got there, I got the message that if you ask for something with a sincere, open heart, which is in the highest good of all, it can only be granted.

Sunday night, we met at a private house on the side of Mt. Shasta, which the staff had rented for their accommodations. It's an amazing log home, whose 40x20 living room has a 18 foot ceiling, and then we sat outside the house for our stargazing.

Apparently, group cohesion with positive intention draws the star visitors. So on the first night, when the group is still forming, there's not a lot of activity. But not this time! My guess is that at least 40% of the group had been to one or more of these trainings, and including a Bay Area contingent of 8 people who have done group work on our own.

Activity began almost immediately -- 'flashbulbs' going off in the sky, 'shooting stars' that moved up instead of down, 'satellites' that aren't on the satellite charts. 'Satellites' that blink on and off. Mysterious colored lights in the trees in the field on the side of a mountain where there is no electricity. (For more of the basics, see this post from 2007, as well as this, this and this from 2008.)

In addition, I could feel that some beings were doing massive attunements so that the group would interact smoothly with each other and with the beings. Several other people apparently got the same message, because we talked about it.

The sheer volume of activity was overwhelming. Two years ago, you'd wait minutes, sometimes many minutes between sightings. The activity was more constant last year, but nothing like this year, when it was absolutely constant -- something was literally happening every second, and often several things were happening simultaneously.

This year, what was new for me was the activity of the radar detectors. Five people had brought standard car radar detectors, along with battery packs so that they could operate several miles into a National Forest, where there is obviously no electricity -- and no radar. The radar detectors would start to make noise, almost at random (more on that later). Here's the really strange part: while all of them had the same bands, two radar detectors, sitting just a few feet from each other, would go off simultaneously -- on different bands! The only explanation we can come up with is that the star visitors are using them as communication devices, and that different star visitors would use different bands.

And then one night, all of us heard a radar detector with a very distinctive chirp, kind of like the Mexican Hat Dance (de-de-doop, de-de-doop, de-de-doop) coming from the northeast part of our 50 person circle for probably 10 - 20 seconds. But no one in that quadrant of the circle had a radar detector!

Another night, I was facing west, and it looked like the Big Dipper had an extra star in its handle. I stared at it for several minutes, and,, not being an astronomer, it took me a while to realize that there shouldn't be a star where this was. As I was pondering how odd that was, it blinked out! At the next break, I mentioned it in the vicinity of one of the radar detectors, which chirped its assent. Yes, that was a craft!

I saw some pretty cool things in meditation, too:
  • One group of star visitors showed me how they become one being. That one being is the craft they use to travel interdimensionally. They agree on what they're doing, and then they smoosh together, so that all the nervous systems become one nervous system, all the digestive systems become one digestive system, etc. I wish I could describe this better, but honestly, it's so hard to wrap my mind around it that I can't.
  • A star craft that looked like a garlic bulb with an elongated top. I kept hearing a couple of other people talk about seeing (with their exernal sight) a craft that looked like a tear drop, and after a while, I realized that what I was seeing internally was what they were seeing externally. So I asked, and sure enough, their 'tear drop' was much wider at the bottom than a tear drop would be.
  • The garlic bulb shaped craft had these articulated legs, like goose neck lamps, with pod like feet which automatically leveled the craft when it sat on the ground. When I thought about the similarity between this and the Lunar Module, something said, "Where do you think they got the idea for that, anyway?"
  • I went into the garlic-shaped craft in my mind. And found myself in a huge hallway, being greeted by a gentleman who ushered me into a ballroom. What I 'got' from that is that what looks like a small craft on the outside isn't necessarily. These things don't operate by time-space standards that we do. [Others confirmed this for me, as well.] So maybe each of those orbs in the photo at the top is a craft!

On Psychic Etiquette

The human senses register millions of pieces of information every second, so many that we can't possibly process them all consciously -- and many of then we can't even process at an unconscious level. These bits of information, processed beneath the level of conscious awareness, constitute intuition or the psychic senses. (See Malcom Gladwell's "Blink" for a great discussion of this.)

You can choose where to focus your attention, however. And as you begin to open up psychically, you have to have guidelines for the responsible use of your abilities. Here are my rules for what is fair game (you can choose your own):
  1. Things that concern me.
  2. Things that other people ask me to look at that concern them.
For me, all else is off limits -- it is not clairvoyance, but clairvoyeurism, rather like being a psychic peeping Tom. If no one asks me to look, I don't look.

I do know some people have a lot of natural psychic or intuitive ability, and don't know how to manage it, and 'see' or feel stuff for other people all the time. These people (usually women) are so overwhelmed by the information that they get, that they either can't function, or shut the abilities down entirely. And often, before they shut down the abilities, they have the experience of telling someone something they saw, and being made wrong for having seen it.

Shutting down seems a shame to me, because we are given these gifts as a natural part of our existence, and not using what you have is like tying your dominant arm behind your back. Then you don't have your arm available for your own betterment or protection, and you don't have it available to help others who want to be helped. (If you are one of these people, I can help. Call me at 888-4-hollis.)

Develop Your Intuition -- it's fun AND convenient!

Everyone has intuitive abilities. No matter what level you’re starting from, you can develop your innate abilities and learn new skills. You'll learn easy-to-use techniques to access deeper level information and you'll get answers for yourself and others. You'll

* practice getting answers to everyday issues in your life and others' lives,
* learn to read people quickly and easily, and
* understand the deeper dynamics of interpersonal and business situations. .

This is a safe environment to explore your issues. You'll even make new friends, as you'll be trading readings.

This method is completely different from any other way of teaching the development of intuition; all other training teaches standard techniques, which may or may not work for you. Here, you'll identify your natural talents; then turn these talents into skills, using my unique method. This intuitive method does not use any sorts of external divination tools, like tarot or runes. This has several advantages:

· Your tools are always available, since there are none outside yourself.
· Your skill is subtle and can be used in any setting, with anyone, skeptic or not.
· Your skill enhances the use of any divination tools.

Here's what you can expect:

- A clear understanding of what psychic ability is
- Useful beliefs to enhance your intuition/psychic ability/clairvoyance
- An understanding of your own psychic/intuitive skills
- Practice with others in a safe space to get feedback about what works for you
- Knowledge of how to practice using your skills on your own

Who should attend:

Everyone!

It's for you if you're ready to see yourself, others and the world more clearly.

It’s for you if you have ever said something like, “I know there’s a message here, but I’m not quite getting it” or “I know I’m intuitive, but I can’t rely on it, because it isn’t always on.”

When:

* 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month, for 5 months (10 classes), beginning February 16
* 5:30PM - 6:30 PM
* All calls will be recorded, so you can listen in if you miss a class, or replay a class you feel you can get more out of by listening again (each class will have a meditation, so this is highly recommended!)

Why ritual?

When I was a kid, ritual was something boring that happened in a church or synagogue, that had nothing to do with me -- and no point that I could see.

When I was first an active real estate broker, I had the good fortune to have a buyer client who needed to get out of a purchase contract on a perfectly good condominium (and I do mean perfect -- the contractor's inspection, for once, found exactly nothing wrong). I thought to call a feng shui expert (this was before almost anyone had heard of feng shui), and the expert got her out of the contract because the location of the condo was bad, and incurable.

A while later, when she bought a townhouse nearby, he inspected again, and then did a house blessing ritual immediately upon closing. That was eye opening! We stood in the tiny garden, and said different prayers over a vase she'd bought to put in the entry hall. I psychically saw different colors stream into the vase with the different prayers! When I checked with the expert later, the colors did, in fact, match the colors associated with the 'deities' for each prayer! So that's what ritual objects were meant to be -- objects that carried spiritual energy! And the point of that ritual was to bring those energies into the house.

This year's Thanksgiving, an elegant, sit down dinner for 18, taught me even more about ritual: what it is, and why it is. Every year, after Thanksgiving, I write notes about what worked and what didn't, along with ideas about how to make things go more smoothly. I take photos of the set up, too -- table placement for however many there are that year, place setting, etc. I keep all the once-a-year recipes with those notes, too. So each year, Thanksgiving gets easier for me, and more fun for my family and friends. I've learned that we should go around the tables, each saying what we're thankful for before we pass out the soup. I've learned that kids make great soup plate runners, serving diners while I ladle soup in the kitchen, that turkey cooks surprisingly fast at 500 degrees, and that a bus bucket in the kitchen keeps clean up much more organized.

OMG, that's a ritual! Rituals are just ways of doing things that work, so you do them the same way, over and over. Not only are they effective, but they also help people know what to expect, which makes everyone comfortable. I think the problem with the church/synagogue rituals to which I was exposed as a kid was that they had in some way outlived their usefulness -- or that the true spirituality behind the form had been lost over time.

Free Congress

In the spring of 2007, when Nancy Pelosi ‘took impeachment off the table’ and John Conyers did not follow through on his promise to hold impeachment hearings, I ‘saw’ that the first FISA violations were against Congress, and that the illegally gained information was being used to blackmail Congress. It was so obvious to me that I couldn’t understand why other people didn’t see it.

Each person to whom I said this, said, 'Of course! That makes so much sense!' Those people included Katrine van den Heuvel of "The Nation", whom I met at Princeton reunions, and with whom I spoke about my 'knowing'. But of course, she didn't really know me, so I didn't have much credibility.

In the spring of 2008, I had lunch with a friend, who is very well connected politically, and who told me that one of her contacts “deep in the bowels of Capitol Hill” told her that he had information that confirms the blackmail. According to my friend, her contact was willing to talk.

I wanted very badly to get this out to the media. Of course, I tried van den Heuvel, but I couldn't get past her gatekeeper. Then I tried a business school contact at TIME, to no avail. Then I tried a friend, who has been a statewide elected official in California, and knows absolutely everyone. He was gracious, but in the end, his press secretary said he could not be connected to this information in any way, as he was a co-chair of Obama's campaign. At this point, I was about out of options, and desperate.

A few days earlier, I had agreed to support a friend at a sales pitch for Humanity Unites Brilliance. I wasn't particularly interested, but just wanted to support my friend. She told me that the meeting was at the home of Barbara Marx Hubbard's sister, but that meant very little to me.

Turns out that BMH's sister is Patricia Marx Ellsberg, that is, she is married to whistle-blower extraordinaire, Daniel Ellsberg! So I wrote down everything I knew, hoping to speak with him, figuring that in the worst case, I could at least leave him my letter.

Patricia answered the door, welcomed my husband, Kosta, and me into her home, and poured us tea
. As we stood in the kitchen, sipping mugs of steaming tea, Kosta somehow brought up what we'd been told. I asked if Dan might be around for me to talk with later, and as I did, he walked into the kitchen, and came straight over to us! At which point, I began my story again, asking him if he'd follow up.

He said he could see how desperate I was, said this was 'his beat', and promised not only to follow up, but to let me know when he had. And he was as good as his word. Unfortunately, the potential whistleblower lost his nerve, which is why you heard it here first (sadly). However, at a rally in Oakland some months later, Kosta heard Dan Ellsberg talk about this on stage to a few thousand people with some conviction.

So now, with a new administration, we should have a free Congress, who may have free congress, the ability to meet without being spied upon.

Energetic House Cleaning

Many years ago, I bought Victorian house in San Francisco, which dated to before the 1906 earthquake, and had subsequently been split into 3 units. The owner's unit was comprised of the first floor and the front half of the second floor. The back half of the second floor had been turned into a 1 bedroom apartment, and the attic had been turned into a 2 bedroom apartment, which was vacant and quite run down. I actually bought it from the owner as he was dying, and the energy in the house was horrible.

Right after I closed on the house, before I did anything to it, and long before I moved in, I invited a dozen friends over to 'clean out' the house energetically. I cooked them a good dinner, gave everyone some wine, and then I led a meditation designed to clean each of us out energetically and to connect us to both earth and universal energy. Then we began a ritual, which we performed in every room:

We stood around the perimeter of the room, spaced evenly, facing the walls, with our palms flat on them, and our feet flat on the floor. We said together, "I invoke the light of the divine within, I am a clear and perfect channel, light is my guide", three times. Then we said, "Bless this house, bless this house, bless this house." Then we stood, running earth and universal energy into the walls to clear them.

I have a distinct memory of all sorts of S&M action in the shower/dressing area, lots of visions of leather, even whips.

I hired a handyman to help me renovate the upstairs apartment -- tiling the kitchen and bath, refinishing a floor, installing new carpet, painting, etc. One day he said, "Do you mind if one of my other clients, a physician, comes over to pay me?" (He was getting paid in cash.) Of course it was fine.

So this guy showed up & walked around the house while I showed him the minimal changes I was making to the main unit (paint, and carpet in the stairwell), as well as the more extensive ones up in the former attic. He particularly admired a 5 foot by 8 foot, ornately carved, gilded mirror in the front hall of the main unit, which had been left by the former owner's heirs, as it was too difficult to move.

After about 45 minutes, the man looked straight at me and said, "Wow, I've been here before -- a lot! I just didn't recognize the place because it feels so different. It took me a while, but then I remembered the mirror." When I asked him about my vision, he told me that
the house was renowned in the gay community for the S&M parties that the recently departed owner threw regularly.

Why am I telling you this? Because of an article in today's New York Times, Supernatural Cleansing Methods. While I don't agree with everything they say, it's not bad as a survey.

Fear and Loathing on Wall Street

Are you watching the markets lately? I mean, who isn't, even if you don't have money in them?

Here's another opportunity to practice using your intuition/psychic senses on a real world matter, with immediate feedback. There are 2 ways to do this, and I'll discuss the easy way first:

  1. Pick an index to which you have no attachment, like the Hang Seng. Asian indexes are great because they open at hours when no sane American is watching the markets, unless it's his or her business to do so, and they close before we get up in the morning.
  2. Before you get up in the morning, check in with yourself, asking, did the index close higher or lower than it closed yesterday (extra credit if you want to guess percentage).
  3. Notice how you get your information: did you see a chart in your mind's eye? an arrow? another sort of picture? Did someone whisper in your ear? Did you feel something, and if so, where? Did you 'just know'?
  4. Look online (perhaps here) to see how you did.
  5. Keep track -- a little journal is best.
Now for the more difficult way, because you are emotionally invested.
  1. Pick an index (or stock, or ETF, or whatever) in which you are invested.
  2. Since it is most likely in the US, during the trading day, ask yourself at least once, is it higher than the last time I looked?
Does your emotional involvement screw up your perception?
The whole point of this is to develop your own internal date base on how you get information, what information tends to be right, and what tends to be wrong, so you know when to pay attention to it. It was only by doing this that I learned that my 'pictures' and 'voices' tended to be right, but my feelings were only projections of my own fear.

A BIG Problem for Psychics

In case you are new to m blog, let me define clairvoyant (which literally means seeing clearly) as one who gets their psychic/intuitive information in pictures. Similarly, a clairsentient is one who gets his/her information in feelings. If you've ever had a 'gut feeling' about something that turned out to be right, you're clairsentient. Things are usually a bit more clear for clairaudients, who 'hear' their information -- but not always.

Probably the biggest problem for clairvoyants and clairsentients is the problem of translating the picture or feeling into useful data in the real world. Here's an example I'm pondering now:

On December 9, 2000, when the Supreme Court prevented a full count of the Florida Presidential vote, I was very upset, and asked my guides for some insight. They gave me 2:

1) They showed me the inside of a Roman galley. As I watched, a new slave master took over, and the slaves stopped rowing out of defiance.

2) I heard the words, "There will be a looting of the Federal Treasury on a scale never before seen in the history of the human race." I remember these words clearly and distinctly, despite my poor auditory memory.

Now for the problem -- interpretation. At the time, I interpreted (1) to mean a recession, and shortly thereafter, the dot-com bubble burst. And (2) reminded me of the Resolution Trust Corp., the entity that was set up to buy the assets of failed savings and loans in the late 1980's, so I thought it was financial, but wasn't really clear.

Then when $8.8 billion went missing in Iraq, I figured that was what (2) had meant, especially in light of the $1 billion/week price tag of the occupation.

But what if they were talking about the proposed bailout of the world's financial system by the US taxpayer (i.e. you and me)? What if (1) is about events still to come?

I only get answers to questions that are asked -- and I was so shocked by what I 'saw' and 'heard' that it never occurred to me to ask the follow up questions about what when. where & how! So be careful what you ask -- be as complete as you can!

The Multiplier Effect (Part II)

After the orbs in the Bay Area (see “How Psychics Have Fun (Part II) below), and the enhanced photo, I was pretty excited to see what would happen at Mt. Shasta, which is renowned for its spiritual activity, with a bigger group, and a respected contactor of ETs.

Many anomalous things happened:

** Lights appeared in the sky, that could not possibly have been airplanes (wrong shape, no lights on wingtips, moving way too fast, etc.), and were not on the satellite charts. They blinked on and off, stood still and changed direction, which satellites can’t do. What looked to my naked eye like a craft sending out an energy streamer was apparently (to those with high power binoculars) was apparently one banking hard left into space, away from Earth.

** The temperature inside a circle of 60+ people (i.e. A BIG circle) sitting in a field was often warmer than the temperature outside the circle (and one circle of 60 people sitting father apart than shoulder to shoulder is much too big for this to be body heat). In fact, one night, sitting out on the mountain from 8:30PM to 1AM, someone used a thermometer to check the ‘inside’ temperature repeatedly. It went from 67F to 64F in about twenty minutes, then back to 67F in another 20 minutes, then to 65F, where it held for a long time before beginning to descend permanently. I could feel the temperature varying, as well. There was no wind, and the cloud cover never changed.

** Another night, we were meditating in a huge meadow, with a densely overcast sky. The air was completely calm — not a pine needle stirred. When we finished meditating, most people had felt raindrops (I didn’t feel them; I was either deep in meditation or asleep. However, rain will normally rouse me, and there were no wet spots on my clothes, so maybe it rained around me!) and the sky above us was completely clear in probably a quarter mile diameter circle! The surrounding sky, however, was still thickly overcast. Then, as we watched, the clouds formed an unmistakable heart shape in the center of the clearing directly above us, ringed by open space and then the original clouds. That was magical.

** One afternoon, we sat at the edge of a clearing in the woods, doing a long guided meditation. That is, everyone but me was doing it. There were hordes of yellowjackets in the area, and I’m very allergic to them. Sitting in the circle, I always seemed to have 4 to 6 of them around me, and was constantly swatting them away. I left the circle to stand away, where there seemed to be fewer yellowjackets and I could move quickly away from the occasional one that found me without disturbing everyone else. Of course, I had to stand, and stay alert, which meant I couldn’t get deeply into the meditation. However, I did what I do whenever I’m standing around doing nothing, which is to see what I can see clairvoyantly. What I saw with my external clairvoyance (my eyes, I guess) was that most everyone’s crown chakra was open, while they all followed the meditation, parts of which asked them to all think the same powerful mantra at the same time.

We had the multiplier effect again, that is, all those minds broadcasting a powerful mantra at the same time out into the universe attracted a lot of attention. After a while, probably after half an hour or so, I began to notice (with my internal clairvoyance) that the clearing was filling up with all sorts of beings, from nature spirits (or devas) to spirits who guarded the place (probably Native Americans who’d lived there) to ETs to angels. It was unbelievably beautiful! And as the meditation ended, they told me they’d be back that night. (And yes, they came back.)

I think the reason that we attracted so much attention was that our minds were sending out coherent thought. Not only was each mind coherent (which is probably pretty rare for a human being), but on top of that, 50+ minds were coherent with each other. This is similar to the multiplier effect I was talking about last week, though in that case, tens or hundreds of millions of minds had the same thought occasionally.

Imagine what we could do if a lot of us were coherent about something!

(Actually, I think this is what happened with the “Fire the Grid” meditation. ( In case you missed it, the email went around certain communities on the web like wildfire — and apparently 30 – 40 million people participated. We were asked to send love to planet Earth, in a meditative state, for one specific hour in August.) That hour happened to be from 3:11 AM to 4:11 AM Pacific time, which meant that I meditated, and fell asleep, and meditated and fell asleep, etc. When I got up around 6:30 AM, I checked in with Earth, and it felt different, more alive somehow!)

How Psychics Have Fun (Part II)

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
William Shakespeare

If you had told me 3 years ago that I’d be spending a summer Saturday night sitting out in a cold, empty field, in the dark, with a few people who were barely acquaintances (and my husband) with the intention of seeing some star visitors (aka ETs), I’d have told you you were crazy. (This from a woman who regularly talks to discarnate beings, and can communicate with animals and plants, at least sometimes!) But there I was nonetheless.

I mean, just because you can’t see it with your two eyes, doesn’t mean it isn’t there, right? Before microscopes, we couldn’t see cells. And before the Hubble telescope, there were lots of celestial bodies that we couldn’t see, even if we knew they were there. Which is where Mr. Shakespeare comes in... I mean, why wouldn’t there be beings who exist at frequencies outside our usual visual spectrum?

With that openness in mind, we gathered at a restaurant near the field we’d be sitting in later. Over dinner we chatted about other experiences with star visitors, or at least the others did. I was mostly just curious.

There are still places in the heavily urban Bay Area that are quite dark at night, and we went to one of them. Though I’m a newbie, some of these folks have apparently been going for years, so they led us down windy back roads right to the spot. I’m told it has a view, but it was so foggy, not to mention dark, that I really can’t say if it’s true.

There are two kinds of clairvoyance, internal (e.g. remote viewing) and external, which is seeing subtle energies, like the human energy field (aka aura) and chakras (energy centers which relate to different bodily organs and emotional/psychological issues). While my internal clairvoyance is decent, I’m still working on the external. The cool thing about the dark is that you can see subtle energies much more easily. I could very clearly see the aura and crown chakra of the woman across the circle from me! The layers of her aura looked kind of like the layers of an onion, but not as even. But I’ve seen that before, even seen colors occasionally, so no huge deal. The big surprise was seeing her crown chakra, which comes up from the crown of the head, kind of like a small fountain, but with a constantly changing cross between streaks and bubbles, all of which had very faint colors. I’ve seen line drawings of this before, but they really don’t do it justice, because drawings can’t capture the movement, change and color, in the same way that a black and white photograph can’t capture what a color video can.

Then there were the beings. What I saw with my eyes was sparkly things, little (or occasionally not so little) points of light, that came, sometimes moved, and went. What I saw internally were two odd-looking beings. The first was really tall, probably at least 8 feet, with a very long neck, kind of whitish. The second was a human-looking body, with the head of an eagle, and the feeling of guarding or protecting something, maybe us, maybe the land. It told me that similar beings had existed around western North America for millenia, and had appeared to the aboriginal peoples here, which is why some Native American tribes have thunderbird dances, and others have totems like that. Nobody else present saw these beings, though they did see the sparklies. They did tell me that a well-respected clairvoyant had told them of the bird people, who are apparently guardians of the earth.

I did feel what I often feel, which is a warm, loving presence. I have always assumed that these beings are guides or angels, which is to say, higher intelligence. But you know, maybe higher intelligence comes in a myriad of forms, and maybe, rather than being angelic, it’s intergalactic. Or maybe both. What do I know?

Here’s the cool thing — we have pictures! I’m excited by them because it’s the first time I’ve seen visual evidence of what I feel. I’m attaching one to this email (that’s me on the left, with the striped sweater and white scarf, the top clothing layers of about 15 total — did I say it was cold?). Now you could say that these lights are... out there in physical reality? Reflections off the fog? NO. There were no lights at all, not even any in the distance in any sight line. We were sitting in the dark — well, actually, we did seem to be illuminated by some sort of diffuse glow — but either that was our own auras, or something more supernatural. And I was standing diagonally from the line between the photographer and subject a couple of times, so I could see the reflection of the flash on the fog, and it was, tiny sparkles of light, much smaller than what is in the photos. No, there is no “normal” explanation of these orbs.

Can you go home again? Hope... and Acceptance

Last week was quite a whirlwind — NJ for a class, visiting family and friends, and a college reunion, back to SF, only to go to Sacramento on business. But I’m finally home, thank goodness! And because there was such a whirlwind, I have a few impressions I’d like to share with you:

Can you go home again?

It’s very odd to walk around a college campus where you spent almost all of 4 years (I worked as a research assistant in the summers, and stayed for a month or so after graduation, so it really was almost all of 4 years). There is this time travel experience — you know you are you, and it’s 2007, but then, you hit a part of campus that hasn’t changed since you lived there, and... you’ve traveled back in time. I walked by a dorm I lived in one summer, and the window of “my” room had a window fan in it, just like I had. It literally stopped me in my tracks. When am I? It’s as if the present is layered onto the past in the physical place. (Read “Time and Again” by Jack Finney for a terrific novel based on this premise — and no, the movie just isn’t as good).

But then there is also this sense of the place growing and evolving as the community grows and evolves, as everything evolves. Some buildings are the same; others have only been changed on the inside. There are new buildings, housing new scholarly departments and new students. Some trees have gotten bigger, some have died and been replaced by smaller ones. The black squirrels seem to have been replaced by gray ones. The faces, of course, have changed, but the feel remains the same. Engineering students are still working their butts off -- I commiserated with a current engineering student, and one who’d been out 5 years, about how hard we all worked as undergrads. And everyone still feels connected.

So if you can accept that everything changes, then you can go home again.

Hope

I had the good fortune to get a ride (thanks, Julie & Rich!) out to the Plasma Physics Lab, which is 4 miles from the main Princeton campus, for the first time ever, so I could take a tour of the facilities. The PPL is one of the few experimental locations in the world for the development of nuclear fusion energy. Currently used nuclear energy is produced by fission, splitting atoms, and it leaves nasty by-products. By contrast, fusing types of hydrogen atoms to make helium, which is an inert gas, also frees up vast amounts of energy, and leaves only the helium as a byproduct.

Here’s the good news: according to the tour director, who is a physicist (although the communications director of the lab and not an experimenter), commercially viable fusion energy is pretty much inevitable. Certainly many things remain to be worked out, but apparently the question is not if, but when. His view is definitely by 2050. The (slightly) bad news is that the PPL would like to be doing experiments 25 weeks a year on the test reactors they have, and are only funded by the Dept. of Energy for 12 weeks a year. How much sooner could this happen if the lab were fully funded? Can we afford to wait until 2050?

A further question is which nation will commercialize fusion energy, and thereby gain the business for putting these small reactors everywhere. Other research institutions are in Russia, China, the EU, and Japan. While the research is apparently a joint endeavor of these countries with India at this point, commercializing it may not be.

All in all, from the Earth’s point of view, this is the most hopeful thing I’ve heard in years.

Acceptance

10 years ago, when I told people at my reunion that I did clairvoyant readings and coaching (which wasn’t called that then), most people who didn’t know me well, and a few who did, looked at me like I was crazy. It wasn’t much better 5 years ago.

But this time, the reaction I got from most people was “Cool!” I had pretty deep conversations, where I was passing on psychic information, with a couple of people who I’m sure wouldn’t have given my information any credence back then. And this is a pretty mainstream group of professionals. Is it because the culture has changed? Or because we’re older? Or because I speak about it in a way that’s easier to relate to? I don’t know, but I sure hope it’s the first of these. Anyway, my sense is that it’s safe to come out of the closet with your abilities (for those of you who have been in one).
